摘要
The increased use of solid state nuclear track detectors (SSNTD) in alpha particle, proton and fission fragment dosimetry requires automated analysis with image scanning. The entire area of the detector is analyzed during routine work using specially-designed computer programs developed from the shape and dimensional characteristics. This allows the system to be used for low densities. Furthermore, this program includes a procedure adapted to analyze overlapping tracks, which makes it suitable for use with high densities. This method may also be used for radon measurement and proton dosimetry, as well as fission fragment analysis, thus making it suitable for use in all areas of track study.
