On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of M.M. Bakhtin "Bakhtin's Chronotope": the temptation of insight

Being a great thinker of the 20th century, M.M. Bakhtin developed a highly original cultural-philosophical conception that had in many ways forestalled modern approaches to analyzing human existence in the world. He had put forward a new understanding of personality with unique, irreproducible and non-exterminable inner space (inner chronotope, "agnostic nucleus of originality"). The essence of personality can only be perceived so far forth as it is willing to reveal itself to the one apperceiving it. This happens in the sign context of culture when in dialogical communication partners face other meanings. A personal act is considered to be active responsible involvement in existence-"co-existence" (event) realized "through myself and others". Responsibility is a fundamental ontological characteristic of man that reveals his existential orientation on others. Being responsible or being an impostor - these are the two ways of human existence. The meanings of the two ways are preserved in texts and can be unfolded in dialogical comprehension.
