摘要
An experimental mock-up of a typical commercial nuclear fuel assembly was designed and constructed in order to quantitatively characterize the heat transfer mechanisms associated with the transportation and long term storage of spent nuclear fuel. Extensive measurements of surface temperature and individual heater power throughout the test assembly were obtained using a Macintosh- based data acquisition system, which also served to control the test assembly's electrical power supply. An. external front-end signal conditioning system was utilized in order to achieve a higher channel count and greater noise immunity than typically obtained with PC-based data acquisition systems.
