摘要
The electrochemistry of 9-aminoacridine tetracyanoquinodimethane conducting salt electrodes has been studied in aqueous potassium bromide and potassium acetate electrolyte solutions. Proton transport, electron transport and ion intercalation are involved in the electrode processes. UV-visible spectroelectrochemistry was used to establish the nature of the thin film redox processes. Proton loss occurs upon oxidation of thin films of the 9-aminoacridinium salt of the mixed-valent (tetracyanoquinodimethane)2-dimer anion coupled to formation of a charge-transfer complex in the solid state. The cyclic voltammetric behavior of the TCNQ/K2+(TCNQ-)2 couple, which is made electrochemically accessible by this reaction, is indicative of a very sharp redox phase transformation.
