摘要：
The author summarizes his interdisciplinary research to employ actuarial risk models for the evaluation of system architectures with regard to their insurability. Insurability is argued to be a precondition for improving the resilience of distributed systems against catastrophic failures and malicious attacks. This essay introduces three obstacles that hinder the development of a market for cyber-insurance in practice, and refers to a novel modeling framework in which the obstacles can be analyzed jointly. Open research questions and possible ways to overcome these obstacles are discussed.
