摘要
This paper intends to show the several identities of women found in the five stories from the satirical book Suenos y Discursos (1993), written in the 17th century by Francisco de Quevedo y villegas. These stories - "Sueno del Juicio", "Alguacil endemoniado", "Infierno", "El mundo por de dentro" and "El sueno de la Muerte" - considered to be his best prose works, satirize that time's characters and customs, from every social strata. However, in his writting we will find that women, one of the favorite subjects in satire in all times, are approached by the author in a misogynist perspective; other times, he ridicules specific aspects, vices and habits not exclusive to women, but which refer to them.
