A comparative analysis of the experiences of competitiveness between Colombia and South Korea

摘要
The definition of competitiveness is complicated by the large number of authors writing on it, a practical sense is that furnishing the IMD/WEF (Business School IMD/World Economic Forum): "is the ability of a country spaces create sustainability and increase profitbility in the markets". The economic structures of South Korea and Colombia were in similar conditions at the end of the second half of last century (seventies or so), but today, unfortunately for Colombia, the the ability of a country spaces create sustainability and increase Colombia in the post 69, as Global1 Competitiveness Index1. Only one Latin American country is within the thirty most competitive: Chile, and just occuping that position. Noting the ranking from a regional perspective, South korea is the fifth best country in development of their continent, after Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan (Post 3, 8, 11 and 12, respectively). In Latin America, Colombia is ranked eighth, led by Chile. The subsequent posts are for Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Brazil, Panama, Mexico and Uruguay, in descending order. Why this situation? Specialists had described the excellent property with great economic management of the East, in contrast to the poor development policies expansive Latin Americans. Below are the details.
