摘要
A pollen recognition tool, based upon the ARGUS image processing workstation, is being developed at Raster Ltd (Hungary). This tool is to be used for identifying and counting pollen in honey smears. These steps of the standard honey-qualification procedure are rather time-consuming and, if done by humans, are partially subjective. For the given application the ARGUS image processing system is equipped with and interfaced to a robot microscope. The requirements and the basic design concepts of this pollen recognition tool are presented. Some aspects of the methodology used are also discussed.
