ELECTRON TRAJECTORIES IN A FREE-ELECTRON LASER WITH A REVERSED AXIAL GUIDE MAGNETIC-FIELD

摘要
The single-particle trajectories of relativistic electrons are studied in a new configuration with a reversed axial guide magnetic field. When the cyclotron wavelength in the reversed axial field approaches the wiggler period, there is a beat between two rotations. which makes a large dip occur in the radiation power.
