TITRATION OF AL3+, CA2+ AND MG2+ IN ANTIACID FORMULATIONS BY THERMOMETRIC TITRIMETRY

摘要
The titration process for the determination of Al3+, Ca2+ and Mg2+ in antacid formulations is described. It allows this determination on a single sample in less than 15 min. The presence of silica does not disturb. The sample is digested in mineral acid; acid excess and Al3+ are successively titrated by a NaOH solution. Afterwards Ca2+ then Mg2+ are titrated by EDTA. End point detection is made by thermometric titrimetry.
