Pedro alvarez Miranda (1903-1990)

The article aims to point out the artist biography, the jewellery designer Pedro Alvarez Miranda (1903 1990) who created many civil and religious jewellery designs during the more of 50 years that he worked at the family society "Joyerias Pedro Alvarez", the company founded by his father at the end of the 19th century, in Oviedo (Spain). Since he was very young he made several journeys to european countries where he got a specialized knowdeledge and training, most pobable in the german town of Pforzheim, important european jewellery center. His designs gave to the family company artistic relevance. While his products had a wide customers in Spain and Latin America, his designs were disseminated through jewellery world at an European level, as in France and Germany.
