On the alleged circularity of time in the eternal recurrence of Nietzsche

The notion of infinity is presented in Nietzsche closely with the notion of time and in the context of attempt to construct a cosmology linked to his hypothesis of the eternal recurrence. In this cosmology does not fit a circular conception of time. For Nietzsche the time is an infinite series of identical cyclical periods. Therefore, despite a widespread interpretation, we must conclude that the Nietzschean hypothesis of eternal recurrence is inconsistent with a circular conception of time.
