摘要
This contribution studies the distribution of referentially dependent third person null subjects in Hebrew in various types of subordinate contexts. It demonstrates that the distribution of such null subjects is inversely correlated with the grammaticality of subject extraction and attempts to provide a formal explanation for this observation, drawing upon the idea that null subjects are topicalized and are only accessible to their linguistic antecedent if they remain in its c-command domain.
