摘要
Experiments on polymeric fluids squeezed in microscopic size channels have shown that near the walls orientational and nonlocal effects changes viscosity drastically. In this paper, I develop a nonlocal theory of memory-dependent micropolar fluids with orientational effects. Balance laws are given. Constitutive equations are obtained and thermodynamical restrictions are studied. The solution of the channel flow problem provides an illustrative example. Viscosity predicted is compared favorably with experiments.
