摘要:
The scope for electroslag remelting of non-compact materials to produce high grade stock and ingots is considered and the process developed is described. A very high degree of removal of harmful impurities and practically complete retention of alloying elements are obtained in the remelting of chips, grinding wastes, and metal powders. This opens the way to saving expensive alloying elements.
