MnO2-Graphene Nanocomposites by Ripening of Amorphous MnO2 in Mild Conditions

摘要
We reported in this work a novel strategy to fabricate MnO2-graphene nanocomposites by the ripening of amorphous MnO2 with GO in mild conditions and subsequent thermal reduction. In the ripening process, the final nanoparticles were in-situ formed, the influence of GO on the ripening of MnO2 was also investigated, which can alter the crystallization manner of MnO2, with the content of GO increasing, the morphology of MnO2 changes from the uniform nanoplates to the random particles with the smaller size. When tested as supercapacitor electrode materials, these MnO2-graphene nanocomposites can show the improved performances compared with those pure MnO2 nanoparticles obtained at the same conditions, which can be attributed to the conductive pathways provided by the graphene matrix.
