摘要
This article aims to discuss women's participation in athletic events at three levels: the first is the speech of Pierre de Coubertin in the context of the creation of the modern Olympics and its consequences, and its impact on the understanding of female inclusion in athletic events throughout the twentieth century and, finally, to what extent these two levels of discourse on this participation are based on the experience of the ancient Olympic Games. Still, as of recent information, it is proposed to rethink the connections between female inclusion and athletic universe in antiquity and in modern times.
