摘要
The disappearance of carbaryl from the surface of the cuticle was correlated with the incorporation of [1-14C]acetate into hydrocarbon and its transport to the surface of the insect during development in the cabbage looper, Trichoplusia ni. The uptake of carbaryl, as measured by the disappearance of [1-14C]carbaryl from the surface of the insect, followed the same trends, in general, as did the rates of transport of hydrocarbon to the surface. The highest uptake occurred during the larval feeding stages and the lowest uptake occurred during the pupal stage. The similarity between the time of highest transport of labeled hydrocarbon to the surface of the insect and the time of highest uptake of labeled carbaryl during development suggest a common route for transport of hydrocarbon to the surface and the uptake of the insecticide. © 1991.
