摘要：
The line-type modulator may be adapted to generate closely spaced doublet pulses. In this application, dual-channel line-type modulators are combined in a common pulse transformer to generate cross-field amplifier (CFA) cathode pulse pairs. The advantages of the doublet line-type modulator in comparison to other high-power pulse modulators are presented. Equipment photographs illustrate modulator construction; data photographs and test results demonstrate pulse performance in a 1.25-MW peak RF power transmitter chain.
