摘要：

An apparatus has been developed for the determination of the stress-strain curves and creep curves of paperboard primarily in compression lending. In this apparatus the test piece is supported by 17 pairs of 3 mm thick, 25 mm wide columns separated by a gap of 0.6 mm. A strain gauge arrangement is used to record the strain on the test piece directly The chosen support principle with thick columns is a significant improvement in support and reliability over previous systems in which thinner blades have been used. The apparatus may also be considered simpler than the vacuum support principle.
