摘要
Assessment with a combination of sleep-disordered breathing questionnaires and the McGill Oximetry Score identifies the child with severe obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, and provides a prediction of the risk for perioperative adverse respiratory events. This approach allows (1) exclusion of the at-risk child from ambulatory surgical programs, (2) triage of patient priority, and (3) implementation of risk-reduction strategies.
