This note presents thermodynamic properties of argon, including enthalpy and entropy, calculated from the BWR equation of state using eight coefficients which were optimized in a previous paper. Accuracies are compared with those for nitrogen and oxygen. The thermodynamic properties calculated were found to be satisfactory in the region from atmospheric pressure up to the critical pressure, including the saturated and superheated zones, and the region above the critical pressure, although the accuracies are slightly lower than those for nitrogen and oxygen. It may, therefore, be concluded that thermodynamic properties can be accurately predicted in this way in both subcritical and supercritical regions. © 1990.
