摘要：

Presently, there is hardly doubt that Open Access is desirable from the scholarship's viewpoint. However, when it comes to the practical implementation reservations arise. One of these refers to the question of financing. What are the costs of Open Access? And who will bear the expenses if the new publishing paradigm will become accepted comprehensively? The article pursues these issues and reasons that scholarly publishing indeed won't be free of cost under Open Access conditions but otherwise won't set back the taxpayers more than today.
