Purpose - This paper aims to look at the collecting of internet documents in The National Library of Norway. Design/methodology/approach - This paper discusses the collecting of internet documents in The National Library of Norway in accordance with the Norwegian Legal Deposit Act and how these documents will be made available for end-users. Findings - The paper finds that this harvesting of the Norwegian internet domain will provide access for users to many documents. The documents will be available via free text search and via a timeline of the history of the document that the user might follow. Originality/value - This paper discusses the Norwegian experience, which should be relevant to institutions planning similar activities, and also to those who want to know more about harvesting and archiving net publications.
