摘要：
Photoelectric BVIc reddenings of 29 LMC and 48 SMC Cepheids are discussed. A mean E(B−V) of 0.074 mag is found in the LMC and 0.054 mag in the SMC, with a small dispersion. This would imply an intrinsic reddening in each Cloud of about 0.04 mag above the Galactic foreground. The dependence of these results on the deficiency of heavy elements in the Clouds is discussed. © Royal Astronomical Society.
