ON TUNNELING OF AN ELECTRON IN QUANTUM WIRES

摘要
The tunneling process for an electron in two quantum wires separated by a potential barrier is studied theoretically. An electron moves ballistically under the longitudinal electric field. It is shown that for an electron localized in the first quantum wire there is a possibility about a unit to pass to the second quantum wire. In strong electric field an electron does not realize such transition.
