The feudal power as origin of nobility in the Late Castilian Middle Ages: an example of the dominion of Villena

After studying the possible sources of creation of nobility in Castile during the Middie Ages, this article centers on the study of feudal power as origin of nobility for others, emphasizing that this power has major significance during the period when the Monarchy is weakening in favor of other powers of the kingdom. Starting from this conception it is studied a particular case which happened in the marquisate of Villena under the government of Lopez Pacheco in the second half of the XV century, during the reign of Enrique IV in Castile.
