The Water Supplying: An Urban Problem Without Solution (Zacatecas, Mexico, XIX Century)

This paper analyzes the water supplying process in Zacatecas city focusing on the nineteenth century, when municipality and state authorities resort to contract private companies for the water supplying process. Companies that proposed a change in the urban supplying system and companies that never finish their contracts. Water existed but it was necessary an adequate distribution system and a better regulation and administration of the waters that put aside the interests of the political class of Zacatecas.
