Secondary Education for adults. A study of case in a CEPA (adult education center)

摘要
The increasing growth of unemployment during the last few years has pushed a growing number of people to come back to the educational system. Lots of dropouts are now enrolling in compulsory education level with a view to get what arguably is the minimum required entry level to labor market. Spain needs to lower its current level of dropouts and raise the percentage of people with an upper secondary education degree. This text is part of a wider research whose aim is to analyze the inner working of secondary education for adults. In order to do that ten adult schools will be visited. Ethnographic work based on participant observation in the classrooms and in-depth interviews with students will be the raw data for such a research. Hereby the reader will find the results and analysis of one of the classrooms in one of these schools.
