AMPLIFICATION IN ERBIUM-DOPED SILICA-BASED PLANAR LIGHTWAVE CIRCUITS

摘要
The realisation of Er-doped glass planar waveguide amplifiers is reported. A net gain of 13.7 dB is achieved for a silica-based waveguide at a wavelength of 1.535-mu-m with a 0 dB gain pump threshold of 25 mW.
