Though the literature is unclear, ulnar nerve anterior submuscular transposition has a role in the surgical treatment of cubital tunnel syndrome in the primary and revision setting. Along with the submuscular transposition technique, this article reviews some of the history of cubital tunnel syndrome treatment, the strengths and criticisms of each of the procedures, and the literature as of 2006 in terms of treatment guidelines.
