摘要
A range of zirconium(IV) derivatives with N,N'-bis(trimethylsilyl)benzamidinate ligands has been prepared with [PhC(NSiMe(3))(2)]2ZrCl2 as the starting material. Reduction of the dichloride in, the presence of excess diphenylacetylene gave [PhCN(SiMe(3))(2)]Zr-2(eta(2)-C-4-Ph(4)). In, the absence of acetylene, orange crystals of the mu-imido-eta(2)-iminoacyl species {[PhCN(SiMe(3))(2)]Zr(eta(2)-Ph-CNSiMe(3))(mu-NSiMe(3))}(2) were obtained.
