An energy analysis of box-type solar cooker utilisation in India

摘要
This paper attempts an energy study of box-type solar cooker utilisation in India. A framework has been developed for estimation of the useful output of a box-type solar cooker based on the hourly global solar radiation data of the location and the thermal performance characterising parameters F-1 and F-2 Values of useful energy output, Energy Yield Ratio, Energy Payback Period and Net Energy Yield have been estimated for the three variants of box-type solar cooker used in India. Results are presented and their possible implications for box-type solar cooker development are briefly analysed.
