摘要
The numerical solution of elliptic partial differential equations in regular (non-rectangular) regions always poses difficulties for the finite difference method since the use of irregular mesh points becomes necessary. However, these difficulties are overcome in the finite element method through the use of triangular elements. Here we consider a triangular region and solve the Poisson equation using a hexagonal grid by the Successive Peripheral Block Overrelaxation method.
