CARCINOGENIC OPTICAL-ROTATION

It is suggested that viral nucleic acid inserts in vulnerable regions of host cell DNA contribute to cell transformation by introducing 43 degrees of optical rotation at 425 nm, and that a carcinogenic event caused by DNA inserts and adducts is spurious electron ejection from important adenine molecules that may be far from insert/adduct sites. © 1990.
