摘要
6-O-Demethyl nectriachrysone, a new heptaketide-derived polyene, has been isolated from a mutant of the fungus Nectria haematococca. This product was identified by comparing its physicochemical data with those of the previously reported nectriachrysone, and by dehydration into a gamma-pyrone. 6-O-Demethyl nectriachrysone is the earliest known metabolite in the biosynthetic pathway leading from acetate to the naphthopyranones of the fusarubin type.
