摘要：

The non-typhoidal Salmonella infections normally cause self-limiting gastroenteritis; but invasive gastroenteritis may occur, especially in newborns, elderly and immunosuppresive patients. In addition to bacteriemia, it may cause severe infections such as meningitis, brain abscess, septic arthritis and soft tissue abscesses. Muscle abscesses caused by non-typhoid salmonella infections have been rarely reported in adults. Here, a 13-month-old girl who developed gluteal abscess due to Salmonella typhimirium after diarrhea is presented.
