This article contains a detailed report of the third trip that delegates of the National Committee on American Foreign Policy's (NCAFP's) Project on Russia and Central Asia took to Kazkhstan in June 2006, the rationale behind the trip, an explication of Kazkhstan's geopolitical significance to the United States, and NCAFP policy recommendations based on the analyses and assessments of the project delegates.
