摘要
The ideas developed in this article are part of a doctoral thesis whose main objetive is to reflect on how we can incorporate student voice and participation in teacher training processes, as a constitutive element of the regular teaching practice. We have conducted semistructured interviews with school counselors and training advisors of Cantabria, with the aim of accessing their meanings in this field. One of the main conclusions is the need to incorporate reflection on the concept of participation and student voice in teacher training processes as well as on the meaning and scope of the experiences that are currently taking place in schools. At the same time, we conclude that participation and student voice can be considered a school improvement tool that helps teachers to think about their teaching practices in the construction of a new professional teaching culture that defends democracy. This involves a change in how teacher training is conceived and the role that consultants and counselors play in it.
