摘要：
Objective: To describe the profile of the professional nurse who is exposed by occupational disease. Method: The research has a quantitative nature, is descriptive and exploratory. The population consisted of 21 nursing technicians and 05 nurses. Results: 100% of the sample was composed of women; the prevalence of the age range was 31 to 40 years with 15 professionals (57%); with respect to working time in the nursing profession from 1 to 3 years of professional experience with 17 (65.38%%); as the weekly 17 professionals reported working 36 hours per week in the institution (65.38%); and, as have other professional jobs only 9 (34.6%) had a double shift or triple. Conclusion: To know the profile of health workers exposed to occupational risks is essential for the implementation of measures to promote continuing education and evaluation of the impact of risk factors at work, as set forth in NR 32.
