ARACHIDONIC-ACID LEVEL AND THE RATIO OF SATURATED TO UNSATURATED HIGHER FATTY-ACIDS IN PATIENTS WITH SOME DERMATOSES

摘要：
The levels of higher fatty acids were measured by gas chromatography in 53 patients with various dermatoses and 20 reference subjects. Markedly reduced levels of arachidonic acid were detected in the patients with eczema, acantholytic pemphigus, lichen planus, and discoid lupus erythematosus, this being an important factor in the pathogenesis of such conditions and in their therapy.
