摘要
Among the modes that may be excited by opacity mechanism in delta Scuti stars there is one, at each l > 0, which is partially trapped in the region containing outer part of the convective core and the chemically inhomogenous zone left behind the shrinking core. The mode appears in the midst of the Main Sequence evolution as a transformation of the g1 mode and evolves toward higher frequencies exhibiting the "avoided crossing" with consecutive p-modes. Determination of this mode frequency would provide a good measure of the extent of the overshooting from the convective core.
