摘要
In the last decade, the feminist movement has pointed out some permanence, as well as updates in regard to their struggle claims. Such a scenario is within a context of globalization of capital that stimulates increasingly inequality in society, as well as in the various forms of exploitation. For women, this inequality is expressed in the exploitation of their own body, in addition to salary matters. It is also associated in perpetuating the values of competition and individualism that makes difficult the processes of political organization of the different subjects in capitalist society. These elements are fundamental to understand the dynamics of organization, struggles and challenges imposed on the feminist movement in Latin America. In this line, this article's reflection, the result of political and academic studies, it is intended to draw a critical analysis of the performance of the feminist movement in Latin America noting their main struggles, and to point out the current challenges for its articulation. The methodology for this analysis was a bibliographical study about the subject, amplified by the experiences lived in the interior of the feminist movement in Brazil. Therefore, the research's results suggest that despite peculiarities and diversities of the women's movement in Latin America, we can speak of a Latin American feminism. We therefore conclude that this collective identity is shaped by the common context of the patriarchal and capitalist society in which this collective subject is immersed.
