摘要
The LiCF3SO3-PPO(n) system (average PPO molecular weight: 3000) has been investigated using infrared spectroscopy. The effect of varying concentration (n = 10-140) and temperature (25-140-degrees-C) on the upsilon(SO3)s and upsilon(SO3)a stretching bands has been studied systematically and a model study in acetonitrile has been made. Cryptand [211] has gradually been added to the system to suppress the interaction between the lithium and the triflate ions by encapsulating the lithium ions in a controlled way. The number of non-coordinated triflate ions is clearly observed to increase as the concentration of cryptand increases. When equal amounts of lithium and cryptand are present virtually all triflate ions are free.
