摘要
Formation and stable growth of microcracks in suitably annealed naCl single crystals may be directly observed in dependence on plastic strain epsilon //p, as under these conditions microcracks occur at the surface only. If averaged from a large number, the crack lengths are found to be proportional to e//p. Microcrack surfaces are studied after the in-situ experiments to relate crack length and area.
