摘要
Microvisualisation experiments have been utilized to investigate the flow of hydrogen sulfide rich gas, liquid sulfur, and water in porous media. Fluids were in thermodynamic equilibrium during experiments under high-pressure and temperature conditions existing in an underground gas reservoir. It has been observed that the gas wets the sulfur/water interface and is able to flow relatively easily compared to the other two phases. Therefore, the impairment to gas flow upon the condensation of sulfur from the vapor phase is not expected to be significant in a water-wet porous medium. Conclusions of this study are in agreement with field experience. (C) 1994 Academic Press, Inc.
