A METHOD FOR MALFUNCTION RECOGNITION DURING PRESSURIZED WATER-REACTOR TRANSIENTS

摘要
A new diagnostic method was developed for assisting operators in detecting and identifying special malfunctions in nuclear power plants. The overall objective is quick information on the most likely malfunction which caused a transient to be given on a display. This is achieved by on-line measurement of key state variables and employing an identified plant system model for reactor dynamics. A case study illustrates malfunction recognition in a pressurized water reactor.
