A case of Haemophilus aphrophilus brain abscess occuring in a 29 year old patient with congenital cyanotic heart disease is reported. After aspiration of the pus another bacteria was determined in culture : a Streptococcus intermedius. This infection was controled by a double antibiotic therapy (pefloxacine, ceftriaxone). The outcome was favorable with any after-effects although the pronostic of this abscess remains often severe. The different etiologic factors of brain abscess in association with congenital heart disease were exposed.
