DETERMINING INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS OF SENIOR MANAGEMENT - TOWARDS A METHODOLOGY

This paper describes a methodology for the early stage of the information system analysis and design cycle known as information requirements analysis. Critical Corporate Information Requirements Analysis (CCIRA) differs from other methodologies for information requirements analysis in that its focus is on the development of information systems for management control or strategic analysis. The CCIRA methodology supports the development of executive information systems, decision support systems, or corporate information systems. This paper describes in detail the various stages of the CCIRA methodology and presents an analysis of a pilot test that was undertaken to determine CCIRA's effectiveness in developing information requirements.
