摘要：
Secondary amyloidosis occurs as a result of either or both acute recurrent or chronic infections, inflammatory or nonimmunocyte-derived dyscrasias, or neoplastic disorders. Xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis is a morphological variant of pyelonephritis characterised by the accumulation of a large number oi lipid-laden macrophages in extended areas of the renal tissue. Although a lair number of chronic infectious diseases cause amyloidosis, the association with xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis has rarely been described. We present a case of xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis with associated secondary amyloidosis.
